   I recently purchased this monitor as well as a Lenovo ThinkVision L2321X to use on the same computer. I absolutely love this NEC display. Compared to the Lenovo display, colors look more vibrant and true-to-life. The picture quality of the NEC monitor is great, however, the speakers on the unit are absolutely terrible. Way worse than the speakers in my ThinkPad W510, and certainly worse than my Harman/Kardon SoundSticks II. If you plan on using these speakers, I recommend purchasing an external set. However, if all you want is a display with excellent picture quality, look no further than the NEC MultiSync EA232WMi. If you feel that $300 is steep for a monitor, I’d also recommend the ThinkVision L2321X, which is priced around $200, but has a TN panel as compared to the NEC’s IPS.
