    So, I bought this as a present for myself after my Sansa mp3 player stopped charging its battery. This thing is not intuitive, I in fact thought that it was defective. For days into a week, I could not get this thing to work. I tried almost everything, and could not make any sense out of the badly transcribed manual, but I kept playing with it, and you know what? I got it to play by pushing the mode button into the machine, and then pressed the play button, worked like a charm after that. If you then keep pressing buttons, it will advance songs, do random play, and all kinds of neat stuff. Very good battery life with one AAA battery around 8-11 hours, has nice volume with basic speakers, even better with high-priced buds or studio headset, and those controls! It is not a bad machine at all when you figure out its controls. Hey, it holds 2,000 songs, and where you gonna get another player for that price. This thing kicks ass!

    BE AWARE THESE 8GB MP3 PLAYERS WILL NOT HOLD 8GB OF DATA, NOT EVEN CLOSE, 7.4GB IS ALL YOU CAN PUT ON THIS DEVICE. WISH I WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS BEFORE HAND, WOULD NOT HAVE PURCHASED THEM.
