Having been accustomed to iPhoto 9, I had difficulty adjusting to iPhoto 11 — major changes! Had to wait 3 months for new Missing Manual, but it was worth the wait. Like all M Ms we have found so helpful, with a touch of humor while simplifying the complexities of our various Mac updates, this is most helpful. However, there was one problem I still couldn’t resolve, so I emailed Lesa Snider (she invites emails!). Bingo! She replied with the solution! That is standing behind your product!

I spend a lot of time training people on how to use their computers and software, and I think I may have just been replaced by a book, at least on iPhoto. Pogue and Snider really did a great job with this, and I especially appreciate the well-crafted screenshots (which I keep going back to look at ’cause they’re just so darn good, and that’s unusual for a tech book). I think that anyone who’s interested in learning more about how to use iPhoto will benefit from this book. Well worth reading!

iPhoto ’11: The Missing Manual is another great book in the O’Reilly Media book series. When David Pogue and Lesa Snider team up you just know it is going to be a home run. I have seen Lesa speak at workshops. She has a very dynamic personality, full of iPhoto tips and tricks.

This book has tons of little hidden gems that help you make the most out of your time in iPhoto’11. Lesa’s charm and personality come out in each chapter. It’s almost like having her in the room giving you a hands on tutorial. And as an added bonus this book includes “amazingly beautiful, full-color screen shots”.

What a winning combination! It looks like a winner to me.
